Development in the city limits of Seneca, and within a 2-mile radius, is guided by the Seneca Zoning Ordinance to ensure orderly growth and development. Administering this process takes a group of dedicated citizens who volunteer their time to benefit the City of Seneca and its residents.
The Planning Commission meets regularly to review applications for rezoning of properties, review preliminary plats, approve final plats and ultimately make recommendations to the City Council in accordance with the Comprehensive Plan. Currently serving as Council approved Planning Commissioners are:
Brian Rusche, City Superintendent, also serves as the Development Administrator. As Development Administrator, Brian issues building, demolition and sign permits as well as administration duties pertaining to Seneca’s Zoning Ordinance.
