Continuing down the north side of Main Street we stop to look at the old 1st National Bank Building. Built in 1889 the bank owners wanted their building to have a sense of grandeur in the small town of Seneca. Built as an ornate red brick with Tiffany style windows. In 2009 it was bought and renovated into Cornerstone Coffee Haus and Suites. The new owners uncovered the windows that had been covered with shake singles for more than 20 years! The owners have continued to renovate the building with help through the Kansas Heritage Grant and Seneca Downtown Impact. #ThrowbackThursday #SenecaAmerica
