5 Ways to Support Seneca’s Local Businesses

Showing our love for small businesses is important at all times of the year. You probably hear the biggest push for shopping local around the holidays but our businesses are open all year round and need our support. They are the ones who support our non profit organizations, our sports teams, churches, and schools, they support us so we need to be sure to support them! With the spread of the COVID-19 virus foot traffic to our businesses has slowed, as it should, to help keep the members of our community safe and healthy. This is why it is more important than ever to show our local businesses you appreciate them. Here are some ways you can support our local businesses right now.

1. Purchase a gift card

Sharing your love for local is already a great gift to give someone, and now it makes even more of an impact! Call your favorite shop or restaurant and see what they offer for gift cards or certificates – then buy some gifts ahead of time! Now when your next birthday party rolls around you’ll be all set with a gift ready to go.

2. Order in

All of Seneca’s restaurants offer carry out options, call in your order and pick it up to take home! Some have begun to offer curb side delivery and are talking of expanding to in town deliveries. Call local restaurants to hear what options they are offering and give your kitchen the night off!

3. Shop online or by phone

If you have the itch to shop but don’t want to go into shops just pick up your phone! Call our local shops and see what’s new, they’ll be happy to work with you, telling you what’s in store – messaging pictures of merchandise. Also check out shops’ Facebook pages as many are posting pictures and you can speak for items in this way. Some of our Seneca shops are offering in town delivery, curb side pick up, or you can make plans to pick up at a later date. What each shop offers varies so give your favorites a call today!

4. Leave a review or testimonial

One review can go a long way for a small business! Leaving a good review on your most frequented local spots helps get them noticed and standout among other businesses. People often do their research before choosing to shop small. This will tell future customers your favorite spot is one to check out.

5. Give a social shoutout

Inspire others to support your favorite business too. Do you have some snap shots you could share from a favorite local meal? New outfit or home decor? Take advantage of a Throw back Thursday and tell your online community what these local spots mean to you.  #ComeSeeSeneca
